For the Air Evaluations, you should be able to stay within 20 feet proximity of your “student”.

The most challenging part of this course is learning the relevant
portions of the SIM & IRM and applying your newly developed
skills in your Ground Evaluations.



If you start to feel overwhelmed with the amount of information
just remember to Keep It Simple

Course registration fees are per person. There is a $350 non-refundable deposit required to reserve a slot in the course. The deposit goes towards your registration fee and can be paid via Venmo/PayPal/Zelle.

Total Course Costs:
$450 per person for 3+ candidates, $550 per person for 2 candidates and $800 for a one-on-one course

Additional fees: evaluation jump tickets and evaluator pack jobs

The USPA rating fee is $45 and is payable upon successful completion of the course.
In addition, candidates are responsible for any repeats, including slots, pack jobs, and any video expenses, (if video is desired), during their evaluation process.

You will need a copy of the Skydiver’s Information Manual (SIM) dated within two years and the instructional Rating Manual (IRM). These can be purchased from your local gear store or from the USPA online store.

What Is Required To Pass This Course:

    (2) Satisfactory Air Evaluations

You will teach sample lessons from the general sections of the First Jump Course and Freefall portions of Categories F-H. These are the Guided Practice. You must also earn a satisfactory score on two evaluation jumps, including freefall training before the jump and the debriefing after the jump. These are the Ground and Air Evaluations and Debriefing.

Course Schedule

Courses will run for 3 consecutive days and will start at 9AM and generally run through 5PM everyday.

Bring your USPA membership card, log book, payment, Proficiency Card with 1&2 completed and the Coach Course Registration Form. This will be our first order of business before we start the course.

We will spend the first day and a half in class learning directly out of the SIM & IRM. The following day and a half will be dedicated to teaching techniques and evaluations (Ground & Air).

In preparation for this course a candidate can make practice jumps with others.  Skills that you need to work on are chasing, flying within 20 feet proximity of a moving base, and practice tracking.
